Went there in 2005 - February.

The denim and skis go well together. The guy can't believe that nobody will adjust his bindings. Are those rear-entry boots too? His friends are probably tire of his questions about the "new shaped skis".

I've probably skied attitash more than any other mountain. Not because I think it's the best...or even close really. But out of convinience, there's lots of cheap places to stay in the area (including a friends ski house) good restaurants...shopping, etc. Makes for a decent time on and off the slopes. Attitash does have some challenging terrain if you know where to look.... I also like the fact that on the Attitash side, there's some old, NE style trails. It's not the biggest or best, but you can certainly have fun there...Unless you are too "hardcore" and NEED to be in the woods somewhere in Northern VT.

But for what it's worth, I'd bet a sawbuck the guy who started this thread works for attitash.

Or is part of the marketing team for the $8500 lifetime pass.

"Atticrash" -- well one man"s treasure is another man's trash . Whiteface , Gore ,Trembalnt , Stowe all have more to offer

They also happen to be blessed with much better mountains.

That said, I think Attitash is great. They make a ton of snow and have all the terrain you could ask for.

There are certainly smaller, more tame areas that the original poster could have chosen. I've had some great days at Attitash. As far as "best", I have no idea and have been skiing for almost 40 years. (crap-I'm old). The best skiing is where you find it. Cliche´ but true.

50 more to go.

Attitash has some pretty steep terrain. I kind of liked it there, good vibe, nice skiing, and mwv is a great vacation spot. I think I like wildcat better in that area.
