Been up in VT on business for the past couple days. Definitely bringing the stoke up.

Yesterdays drive included passes of Sunapee and Whaleback in NH on the way over here; then Ascutney, Magic, Bromley, Stratton and Mt. Snow.

Spent the night at my folks place in Okemo. Will be driving past the Beast in about an hour.

damn, three more months

just had a semi-serious conversation with wife and our neighbors about doing a 1/2 season rental (2 weeks every month) near mount snow...i was pretty stoked for about 30 minutes but we decided against it so i'm back to normal now.

I hang my backpack right along side my skis - I am tortured every time I pick up the pack, which is multiple times per week. snoooo pleaase!

I'm reading this book about a guy who retired at 55, moved to Alaska, built a log cabin from scratch. Right now he's describing the minus 35 nights and the ice on the lake at 44 inches. He talks about experimenting with cardboard as extra insulation in his boots at those temps. It's all I can do to cool off.

My bud showed me his new Wateas last weekend and gave me a very old child's wood sled (antique) from an auction in VT. Then we started talking about Alta this winter. I'm Jonesin' real bad.....

Season just ended, should be set until Septemberish. Besides, I'm not ready yet.

2 week old picture for stoke:

I would have let you borrow my Gladiatror hat.

Mondeo,
Nice pic. I would love to try that. I probably would do a plain 360 as well...and I'd be pretty happy with that these days. HA!

Edited my post for clarity. That was my train of thought going into the kicker, the jump itself was just an off balance straight air mess. At least I didn't bloody my nose on the landing like the first jump.

Looks like the Horstman glacier to me. They still had a ton of snow when they closed this year.
Yeah, they did, still skied down to Solar Coaster on the last day, no problem at all. Hardly any glacier ice showing. It was nice.
