Conditions: Fairly firm remanants of man made, some nice courdoury on the race course (for the first few racers)

At it again last night, all were in attendance. For the second time this season the race took place on Twister, a much 'turnier' course than FIS. We were there early to sign in and all started in the first ten pairs. Technical difficulties kept us waiting at the top a bit but were sorted out. The green course was quite a bit faster than the yellow for all of us. Chile raced first on the yellow but stepped out of his ski a couple turns in. Didn't see his second run but it seemed to go well. Charlie & I were the third pairing, he smoked me on the first run earning himself a bronze (and contributing 2.49 pts to the team total), I did a little better my turn on the green. A medal still eludes me however... Ga2ski and Scott were next: always fun to watch the competitiveness of a couple friends. Ga2 took the first run on the green course earning 6.18 pts. while Scott came across the line first his turn on the green - although because of the difficulty of the yellow course, Scott's first run (yellow) was used to earn us 3.65 pts. These guys are so evenly matched they’re right next to each other in the individual standings as well! BobR and Tree_skier was another good pairing - our two fastest racers. Again, whoever was on the green course seemed to finish first. Had fun watching Bob overtake Tree_skier on the bottom of the course. BobR was our biggest point earner with 7.25 pts for his run on the green. While Bob may have come across first Tree_skier's time for the first run on yellow was used for 7.11 pts. Add it all up and were in third place overall for Monday nights!

Both of the courses were diffucult and very hard to turn in no set pattern. My 1st run felt worse than my 2nd, but end result was the 1st was better.
Ga2ski was turning on his old boards. He murdered his usual pair. He did quite well for not being comfortable.
Scott continues to be a star showing the greatest imporvement from the 1st days on the hill.
The competiotion between us as a group seemed higher this week than in the past. We finished fifth for the night, but kept our 3rd place status.

Apres ski was nice. Great to just hang out. Charlie again has the most laughs. Roark, myself, Bill and Charlie talked about the upcoming Cannon outing on SAT.

Great race again last night even if the course was not too my liking. I'm not going to blame anything on my gear, I hope to repair the Karhus tonight.

Sorry Scott and I left early again. Scott is studying for his PE exam and tyo be honest i would have fallen asleep in the bar.

See you guys on Monday. Possibly at Cannon on Saturday, but only if they get a lot of snow this week and SR doesn't.

Of course, my "fun run" was terrific and my 2 competitive runs were lousy. Gotta work on that. Nice job by the rest of the team! Still in 3rd place overall......

My one day of glory. Tree_ skier won't let that happen again.
His goal was top 5 last week and he made it. Mine was top 10 once. Proudly I got my wish also. Thankx Charlie
