Congrats Phil. So they'll be about 3 years apart? My daughters are three years one week apart and it's perfect. My oldest is so independent now and out of diapers (expect for a pull-up at night sometimes) so it makes it pretty easy. It seems Pat and the Mrs. are in the knock 'em all out at once camp!

Since my son is like 4, I've been making deal with him that I drive him to mountains
now but he'll drive me to moutains when he can drive. I'm reminding him every season
and it is 7 more seasons to go. I hope he'll still be interested in skiing with me at that
age.

Your son will be driving when he is 11? Wow, I wish my parents let me do that!

2 Girls 8 and 3 years. The 8 year old had been skiing for 2 years and loving it. The 3 year old does not like the cold or wind yet so it might be a few more year untill she gets on skies. Since skiiing is over for the most part we are now spending a weekend in June seeing the Care Bears Live!!!!:beer: Kids they make me laugh.

SkiDork and I have 2 kids - a boy who turned 9 on Sunday and a daughter who is 5. Both started skiing at 2 and my son is now in the Killington Ski Club Freestyle Hopefuls program. My daughter just finished her last year at Ministars and she is skiing very well making parallel turns. We now have to get her used to using poles because next season she will be entering the Killington Ski Club Racing program. My son skis the moguls much better than his parents and an instructor told me that we should enter him in the Bear Mtn Mogul Challenge when he becomes eligible. They both skied with me during the past vacation week. I am very proud that my daughter skied Superstar, Skyhawk,
Cascade, Double Dipper, East Fall, Skylark, Panic Button/Needles - she skied them fast and without complaining. She only complained when I tried to keep her out of the deep moguls on Superstar. My son actually hiked with me twice over to the Canyon area once the lifts there closed and he also joined me on the expeditions to OL. The only reason I did not take my daughter on these expeditions is that at 5 she would get tired fast when carrying her skis and going uphill. They both learned the basics in the First Tracks/Ministars programs at Killington. They have some very good teachers there. I am so glad that they are learning good skills now and not picking up bad habits that are hard to break later.

Three it is....

...and a brilliant wife.

She sips cocoa, reads, and toasts in front of the fire....I wrangle the crew. I wipe runny noses.....she gets hot rock massage treatments at the spa from a guy named Raoul. I organize, clean, dry and launder a pile of equipment and clothing.....she dips another fork in the fondue. What can I say....I love skiing.

I love parenting, and I actually have a chance, over the next 20 years, to become good at it. Imagine that !

I have 2 skiing kids, son age 20, daughter age 18. I also have a new granddaughter who will be a future skier soon.

I have two boys, one named Nugget, and one named Bit-Bit. Nugget is almost 2 and Bit-Bit is a wild 3 month old who doesn't stop biting. Nugget is black and bit-bit is gray, nugget is consantly purring and has taken to his new baby brother well, always cuddling. the great thing about my boys is that they don't need a baby sitter, you can just leave them home and go skiing!

The littlest one's nickname, in fact, is Meat. He was skiing in diapers at age 2. At age 4, he's got 2 seasons under his belt. My girl, age 6, has skiied for 3 years. I had to switch back to skis to help get them up the mountains & teach by example - I could only rely on Dad & Grandpa for so long.

must be a great kid, started at 2! thats impressive, this meat didn't start til he was 6 back in 1985.

Four kids. 10 year spread.

I didn't start skiing till I was in my mid 20's (living in Norhtern Italy).

I gave it up when we moved to Kentucky. Started up when #2 son joined the school's ski club when he was 10. #3 started when he did the same. It stayed like that for a while.

#1 son decided he wanted to board about when #2 decided to convert. #3 converted the next year. My wife started skiing about 6 years ago. #4 (my daughter) was a slow starter. She does pretty good now. She's the only one still at home with my wife and me.

The three boys still board. We rarely roll all together. It's a lot of fun whenever we do.

I have 4 children. 1 girl who is 13 yrs old and 3 boys aged 12, 9 & 8. We all ski together although my son who is 9 is not that enthusiastic about skiing. He doesn't like the cold or getting wet enough to really enjoy it although once you get him out, you can tell he's having some fun.

Both my wife and I have skied for over 30 plus years. We started our kids skiing at various ages beginning around ages 5 or 6 for the first two and ages 3 or 4 for the last two.

The most gung-ho skiers of the bunch are the 12 year old boy who snowboards and the 8 year old who skis. The 3 of us usually go together for weekends at our condo when the whole family can't make it for some reason or another. These 2 boys can handle anything I throw at them: Castlerock at Sugarbush, runs off the Single Chair at MRG, etc. It's very rewarding to ski with your children and have fun together.

Most weekends, though we are all skiing together. I viewed buying the condo as the best investment I've made so far because it ensures some great family times together and allows me to indulge in my addiction to a greater degree than if I didn't have a place.

My oldest will be entering high school next year and she wants to go out for the ski team. She's really never raced but she's a good skier and wants to use her skills in a sport she enjoys.

I was sure at two, and fuzzy math became, surprise, three. No regrets when our little roost ruling princess popped out. Now it's us 3 boys vs. them 2 girls....a fair fight as everyone knows girly girls are much smarter and tougher than boys.
