That lift being down on saturday made skiing the upper middle portion of the mountain a hassle, but it preserved some of the powder on Yahoo and Onteora until later in the morning.

What is wrong with the lift? Unforseen circumstances????

at least they have another lift they can subsitute it with. other places would just call it quits for acessing that area.

They really cannot cut acess to that area because there is skiing on both sides of the lift that is not running, and the only practical way to get from one side to the other is on ski's. The website does mention that Belleayre will be using a shuttle bus past this next weekend when they start constuction on converting the Superchif Lift to a HSQ.
