Pretty much just caught the bug and have been a total of 3 times. Think I would be a menace on anything that wasn't green. :-o

A guy I work with will prolly be up there sunday. His 3rd time on skis. Had no prob on both of those last week.
Get it while it lasts.

Roaring brook is such an easy blue it should be a green. Go have fun on it.

Yeah dude.....rip roaring brook, it's really no harder then the green stuff by lifts 1 & 2, just longer. The soft snow this weekend might be tricky for a beginner, but hey, you can get a tan.......and you know what they say.......you gotta ski it to ski it!!!!

There's a reason for that......

how many rocks did you hit?
Oh I have hit some rocks this season. One was on Utsy in early January and a few at Jackson Hole in early Feb. No rocks on Tongora at 10:30am Sunday. Just nice 4 inches of untracked snow. The weeds on Tongora were sticking up through the snow which may be why nobody was skiing it. If the CLOSED sign was on Tongora it would have been all tracked out. Go figure. ;-)

Actually, the closed sign was on it, you just couldn't see it because it was coated with snow IIRC (at least the one cutting across from Belleayre run was). The weeds were sticking up because the trails never got mowed at the end of the summer, so the grass is really long under there, which does tend to scare people away.

Still, I'm surprised you didn't hit anything, since the base under there was very spotty.

Utsy, yeah what a fun trail. I was lucky this year and didn't hit anything on it the 3 or so times I did ski it. As a matter of fact I think all the rocks I've hit this year have been from unmarked stuff......

you will be fine on roaring brook. It's totally cruiseable.
Enjoy it.
