No more A41 and lots of buzz about Sunday River might actually mean Killington will be the least crowded option with the most trails.

I was thinking the same exact thought to myself yesterday. I hope that is the case.

Based on early returns Sunday River is the leader, but fall in new england can be unpredictable, wait as long as you can before making plans

but ill be at sr that weekend

Was at Sunday River this afternoon to pick up our passes, looks like they were getting ready to re-start snowmaking this evening. Then we went home and ordered the turkey for Thanksgiving!!

See you there on Friday!

Mt. Snow/Okemo

This will be my seventh year in a row I will be doing the Mt. Snow/Okemo double shot, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Crowds have never been a problem problem at either place that weekend! Quite the opposite. I do catch first chair, and am in for lunch at 11:00 usually sitting alone at the bar (that's the way you do it.......)
Why Okemo on Sunday? $25.00 lift tickets if you give a few cans of food for thier food drive! Plus the chicken salad roll-up with a couple long trails on tap in the sittng bull pub is to die for!

I plan to go with my 6 year old son who skies blues. Did some research on lift ticket prices - apparently some areas start charging real price for lift ticket at age of 6 and some at age of 7. Here is the sample:

2-day Weekend lift ticket:

Sugarbush no info
Mt. Snow 86
Killington 106
Stratton 10
Okemo Free
Whiteface Free
Gore Free

So we'll go to Okemo, never been there, looking forward to cruising blue groomers.
