I'd put The Mall and Spillsville above Stein's for South..Castlerock Run and Middle Earth for that matter as well. Morningstar is a nice gentler-pitched bump run. It could just be the times I've hit it, but I never like the bumps on Stein's as much as the natural trails.. Also, Steins is groomed occasionally. Personal preference, of course. Including North, FIS and Exterminator deserve mention. BMM will probably name many more that he likes.

Best bump runs at the Bush? Oh yeah... I can name a few. Here are the top 20 in order of just how good they are, IMHO:

1. Tumbler
2. Hammerhead
3. Black Diamond
4. Twist
5. Middle Earth
6. The Mall
7. Semi-tough
8. Bravo
9. Exterminator
10. Castlerock Run
11. Spillsville
12. Moonshine
13. Encore
14. Cliffs
15. Lower FIS
16. Paradise
17. FIS (better lines almost always on skier's right)
18. Morningstar
19. Stein's
20. Ripcord

These are ranked based on average bump quality and overall enjoyment of run. I'm sure some will argue, but I'm certain that I can refute any argument!

It might surprise some to see many of the Lincoln Peak bump runs so low on my list. No... it's not just because I'm the Mt. Ellen Superpromoter  . The reasoning is this: during the busiest holidays, the once-a-year gapers goto Lincoln Peak, and the locals and experienced skiers know that they're best bet for a less crowded experience is Mt. Ellen. Therefore, LP gets covered with irregular gaper-bumps... and, yes, gasp, even Castlerock :-o . Stein's is at 19 for me because of the irregular bizarre lines that form due to the extreme (albeit fun at times) double fall-line near the top. FIS is at 17 because it's the epitomy of the gaper bump run. People who can't ski worth a darn ski it just to say they did it. Thus, gross bumps. However, you can usually find a good line along the trees and snowmaking hydrants.

That said, every single one of those 20 bump runs is a top 50 quality New England bump run, hands down. And there are usually a few more good bump runs too, they just don't deserve mention like the ones above.

Forgive me, K-Mart lovers, but Sugarbush is a much better bump destination than Killington. Killington used to be the bump king, but Sugarbush is now the Mogul Capital of the East!

Hopefully management will maintain many of these natural trails as they have recently, so that Sugarbush can remain Vermont's bump destination!

And for those who are now wondering... no, I don't work for Sugarbush, and no one is paying me to advertise. Everything I've said is solely my nearly 200 Sugarbush mogul skiing days experience-based opinion, and everyone is entitled to my opinion

I am glad you rated Stein's and Ripcord low as far as good bumps runs. I happen to think compared to the other (and natural snow) runs you listed, they are no where near as good. Especially Stein's, its always in the shade. Exterminator can develop some good bumps though, for sure, even though its man made. I skied a ton of that run when North Ridge stupidly was the primary Mt. Ellen lift. We used to train GS on it too, that was gnarly.

I don't care what you say Semi-tough should be 8th and Bravo should be 7th. That's a hard fact that no one in their right mind could possibly disagree with. :flag:

Agree with Stein's and Ripcord. I'm not a big fan of those trails; same for Organgrinder. Not to say that I don't enjoy them under the right conditions, but I enjoy so many other trails there under almost any conditions.
