Berkshire East, AKA B-East.

I have found nice bump skiing there the few times that I skied it last year:

Berkshire East is a great hill. After a recent dump, it's the best in Mass, without question. Some great glades and some classic natural snow trails. You won't find either at Jiminy anymore. I always say, early/late season or when there hasn't been any significant natural snow --> Jiminy. When natural snow depths are high --> Beast.

As a SR regular I find it sad that no one listed any trails there. hmmm i'm invisioning an AZ challenge question. Hopefully SR management will se this.

BTW - my favorite bumps trails there are Agony, Celestial and Ruby Palace. 3D can be fun as well. Oh yeah and the seeeded Tempest bump course.

the liftlines at SR are probably the only runs i enjoy there with exception of when the glades fill up and are skiable. agony and ruby palace are good, caramba is nice too. i wouldn't put them on a list of best bump runs though.

As others have said, almost anything at MRG. At SB, I'd mention the Mall and Spillsville along with the runs off Castlerock when it comes to just bumps; Paradise (proper) too. I think I like any of those better than Steins and FIS, because I prefer the smaller, natural snow bumps to the bigger man-made ones that those trails Steins and FIS get from my experiences.

Sugarbush: The Mall, Spillsville, Twist, Black Diamond, Exterminator, Morning Star, all of Castlerock, Paradise
MRG: Chute and Catamount (most of the others are ungroomed but for one reason or another don't develop consistent bump lines. Therefore, they are in contention for best runs, but I would say they wouldn't be in contention for best bump runs. For example, Paradise is a sick run but there isn't really an area of the trail where a consistent pitch of bumps will develop.
Jay: Powerline
Stowe: Goat

Hmm.....you just listed all of my favorite trails at the Bush.....except for Black Diamond and Spillsville, and only because I haven't skied those yet...

I guess that you are right, but I did look into my older Jiminy brochures and they did advertise mogul and bump skiing in the 1997-1998 brochure. There is no mention of it in the 2005-2006 brochure. Only an emphasis on "safe skiing" zones and the halfpipe, so it looks like the core customer likings changed:

You can read the mention of bump skiing under the Your Skiing header:

Just had to comment here.

Old Jiminy Brochure said:
...a vertical drop of 1,140 feet, 8 lifts, moguls, bumps...

Aren't moguls and bumps the same thing? ;) I still wish this was the case at Jiminy...

We need to put some pressure on them to leave some area of bumps alone.

Top to bottom bumps on Jericho would be great; and it would sort of then be deserving of it's double diamond status. I've never seen it ungroomed though.

It’s been mentioned a few times already but Beartrap at Mt Snow is great. What it lacks in pitch it makes up for in atmosphere.

I’m a fan of White Heat at SR. I have always enjoyed skiing the bumps top to bottom on that trail.

Beartrap is usually awesome. It wasn't too bad this year but definitely not like normal because of the late start of the year, especially on Sunbrook.

Also, with good natural snow, its tough to beat Olympic on the North Face as far as flatter bumps.

I wish we could convince them to leave a few runs on the front alone for bumps, there are a ton of runs to spare. The bumps they had on lower Exhibition for the competition were sweet though.

Jiminy sucks for bumps . . . what a crappy mountain that has turned into . . .

How about a little love for northern NY areas, though . . . Wilderness at Whiteface has to be included in this conversation, as it is the home of numerous World Cup events.

Also, McKenzie at WF had good bumps last year . . . Also Rumor @ Gore.

Bush: Stein's

I'd put The Mall and Spillsville above Stein's for South..Castlerock Run and Middle Earth for that matter as well. Morningstar is a nice gentler-pitched bump run. It could just be the times I've hit it, but I never like the bumps on Stein's as much as the natural trails.. Also, Steins is groomed occasionally. Personal preference, of course. Including North, FIS and Exterminator deserve mention. BMM will probably name many more that he likes.

Rumor @ Gore.

I haven't been to Gore in a few years, but they seem to groom Rumor way too often for it to become a great bump run. When it did have bumps they were massive and awkward, except later in the spring. At least the way it was when I went there with some regularity. You know more than me now though. My favorite for bumps at Gore was Double Barrel, but it's not open often. Otherwise I think Gore grooms way too often to develop a good bump run.
