I have some room in my boiler room and am thinking about storing skis in their. I already keep my boots in there to dry them out. Is there any reason why I shouldn't store the skis in the boiler room?

half of my basement is finished (playroom for kids) and the other half is where my gas burner/water heater/work bench is....I keep my gear there (avg 70 degrees) this also where I tune all the gear, nice and warm, good lighting, tv/tunes...great escape with a few cold ones!

As long as the skis won't be too close to the boiler, or be subjected to large swings in temperature or humidity, I wouldn't think there'd be any problem. You would want to be careful and make sure there aren't any hot spots. Stand in teh spot where teh skis would be while the boiler is running (with a cold one, if possible). If you notice any part of your body getting warm, then I wouldn't put the skis there.
