I'm going soon and after calling guest services a couple of times recently it seems there's an operational change for the Timberline lift. They decide day to day to run it or not, according to guest services, although I can't imagine not running it on weekends when the mountain is wide open.

Two seasons ago (can't remember about last year) they had hard days of the week Timberline was open on the website, although they did open it unexpectedly when I was there on a weekday (because one of the other summit lifts shut down). A bit frustrating, it'd be nice to go on a weekday I know it'll be open.

It’s not the schedule shown on their website today?

Where’d you click to for that? I couldn’t locate it.
But also, Guest Services seems to contradict that literally saying it’s a daily last minute decision.
Conditions page on their website is where I found it.

If they need to shut down a chair due to staffing , I'd rather it be Wilderness instead of T-Line all day.

It surprises me T-Line doesn't get more of the mountains focus. Vista has the steeper terrain , but it's short before flattening out. Timberline has more consistent pitch for longer distances. Better parking. I don't have much interest in Bolton when it's not open.

I don't think guest services has any idea what they're talking about, timberline trails are groomed and if nothing else you can't have a grooming plan if you don't know whether you're running the lift until the morning of.

Windy and so cold this morning. Vista on wind hold to start, then they randomly said Wilderness will just not run today with no explanation. They finally started loading Vista at 1130 or so, and we just said fuck it. I’ll save my Indy days for tomorrow and another trip. Ragged and Whaleback are both on the way home so I could do a combo trip of some sort another day.
