I thought we had a thread on this last year, but I could not find one.

Real tree about five feet tall.( Green) :D Letting it set in a bucket of water for a day. I will bring it inside in a day of so.
Our Holiday season had begun. The kids were very psyched.
Bought it from the Nashua Rotary.

Who is next?

I have two trees up. Both are of course fake. One is an 8 foot and is in the sunroom and is not decorated and the other is a 7 foot in the family room, that is decorated. I like the real trees, but I love my prelit trees!

No tree up yet, we're still trying to figure out where to put it. We've had a bit of a space issue since our daughter was born in June...

I have a 5 foot silver Christmas tree from the 1950's... Very retro - very tacky..... I love it..

It sits on a stand and spins... Also has a color wheel that makes the reflection change color..

Kinda looks like this..

Don't worry the space issue just gets worse  Most people move soon after the first baby is born.

Hope to go to a "cut your own" over the next week or so. If no decent ones are left, then we'll just hit one of the local sales...maybe the Scouts have trees for sale.

This may seem strange, but my son and I have dust allergies and a real tree is better than a fake one because the fake ones get dusty after a couple of years...

One other comment...I don't care if it's not PC, but my tree is a Christmas tree and not a Holiday tree. :-?

DMC. I like those types of trees.

Here are my two trees. I think they look better in person than in the pictures.

We went and picked out two trees (one for mother in law) at a tree farm. Both are 7' or so. It's become a Thanksgiving weekend ritual, as has our annual "putting the Christmas tree up" fight (mostly just joking here). We won't cut them and put them up till the middle of December. IMO, it's too early to put the tree up, especially a real tree that we want to last till New Years.

I have a 3 foot fake tree I keep it decorated in my condo, christmas lights on the walls. I have a 2 foot one in the bedroom. The lights and the trees stay up all year long.
Sounds corny, but when I'm in the mountains its always Christmas to me.
DMC nice wood look. Glad to see folks getting into the season.

LOL, I grew up with a tree like that, it was somewhat fuller, and we went all out- blue, red AND gold balls. Every year, my mom would make us take crayons and "freshen" the color wheel. When my parents divorced in the late 60's, the first thing my dad did was throw that damn tree away, and bought a regular plastic green one. lol. That same tree is in my basement in a box. Nothing but the real thing for me. There are trees out there that don't lose their needles, you know....
