The option of cutting over to McHargs would probably be low on the list for the skiers coming off of the shortened Willoughby. However the option is still there on non-race days. The Unload of the Willoughby should be high enough to traverse over above the Poma mid-station. This should allow this option to be open more often. Most people using this option would likely be either headed to the other new lodge that is planned near the Bear Den or headed to the Mid-Burke Express.

A great thing about the Poma right on the training hill is that during the ride back up, racers get a chance to closely watch the other racers that are on training course. I'm sure there are advantages to watching the top performers run the gates and pick their lines.

This is the main reason the Poma will not be replaced. Its been updated and is part of the training process. Its one of the reasons that our training hill is one of the best in the country.
