That with an air compressor and the right nozzels is pretty much what your home snowmaker is made of. You can google for instructions and the other parts you will need.

A Pressure washer is missing the compressed air, so you will be making ice. Still better than bare ground

Just recently saw an advertisement for that, I think in Ski Magazine. They have the whole set up for a backyard ski area including a lift. Pretty cool. I didn't think the price's were too insane either. Your electric bill on the other hand?

Swap the ball valve out for a needle valve and you will be good to go. The ball valve will work, but you can't adjust it as well as you can a needle valve.
Well, I tried it out today with no success. Unfortunately it just wasn't cold enough. I got eager and was out there hoping for snow and all I ended up doing was watering my lawn. Gonna try again tomorrow morning, supposed to be around 25 or so. right now it;s like 30 / 31

so it looks like some snow was made but the ground wasn't cold enough to hold it?

went to home depot today. they had about 1/2 the parts, ordered the rest online. trying to find friends with compressor and washer, don't want to buy/rent them just for a silly experiment.
