Hope they get catapult open soon...I would think for such a small trail it would not take very long. I see a cat outing soon!

I don't normally see it open before the end of January even during a normal year. Catamount is no where near as aggressive with snowmaking as Jiminy or Butternut. But when they get natural snow and it's at 100%, it's a great mountain. Catamount is to Butternut as Berkshire East is to Jiminy, at least in terms of snowmaking.

My friend used to race for Catamount's ski team I think... I could ask if he still races but I think he's away at boarding school so maybe he doesn't anymore...
