Dec. 26th we head to Whiteface through Jan. 4th. With all the snow they got and the imminent opening of the Lookout Mt. expensive, it should be one of the better Christmas breaks for me in recent memory. Anyone else taking time off around then for skiing and where are you going?

No time off here other than Xmas day and half day Xmas Eve, but I'll be at Greek Xmas Eve day for sure. We've been blessed with mucho snow and everything is open early for the first time in many years. I'll have a hard time traveling anywhere this year if conditions stay as good as they are right now.

You'll have great conditions---they've been gettin major LE the past few days---130 miles of the thruway (1rochester to PA line) was closed due to snow.

Hitting the mighty Sundown with the wife. It will be her first day of the season so it will be interesting.

My whole family (11 of us) is coming for 10 days starting tomorrow . We'll all ski Titus several days .

Altho my son called last Thurs from Manhattan he's a marathoner and he's gotten a triple whammy : Sciatica , a back ache and a case of Morton's Neuroma --

He can't sit for very long and he's got an 7.5 hr drive to make it here . He was going to see his physician
Hopefully he's gotten some relief and can make it , but skiing for him is doubtful

I will be heading to Saddleback and Sugarloaf, but mostly at Saddleback. I'm thinking they may be protected from the mixing that may occur at some of the other New England resorts. Should stay POWDER

Probably a bunch of short sessions at the mighty Sundown. Would like to head out to Hunter perhaps too. If the Berks or SoVT get a dump, I'll hit Magic, BEast or Catamount.

I'll be skiing Blue mountain on December 24th and December 26th-28th for morning sessions..I'll be back at work the 29th through 31st so maybe some night sessions at Blue..then I'm think of going somewhere New Years weekend...January 1st-4th...maybe Sugarbush..Gore is a possibility as well..it depends mainly on weather and cheap lodging..

Picking up my pass and skiing Tenney on the 27th. Was able to squeeze in a day off on the 2nd, so my 'vaca' will be the 1st - 4th. I will get in two days in over that time; probably one at Tenney and one at Ragged.

Going away Wed night to Sunday night, since we are closed Thurs & Fri at work. Going with a nyc ski club to their house near Sugarbush, but we take a bus and go to different places, and nothing is settled ahead of time. I'd expect at least 1 day at SB and at least 1 at Stowe, hopefully I get a day at MRG too. I figure on the way home they might go someplace further south like Killington even though on a normal 2-day weekend they stay up north. Guess I'll see.

I'll definitely be going up to VT once or twice, have to coordinate kids' schedules. I am hoping to hit someplace on Xmas Eve during the day - depending on weather.

HPD, I will be coming to Whiteface the weekend after New Years. Can't wait and hope Lookout Mt. is open by then. Enjoy the snow between now and then.

I'm definitely going to be hitting the slopes a few times over the next couple weeks, probably starting with Black Mt (NH). As I posted in another thread, it depends on the conditions and number of trails open (does anybody know how the mtn is?).
