There must be a temperature inversion going on. It's -4.4F on my digital thermometer at 2000 feet at KMart. A friend o' mine is seeing -15 down next to the Otaquechee River. It's probably shorts & tee shirt weather at the top. ;)

I had -8 on the thermometer in my car when I just parked it at my office in NE CT. It was a relatively "balmy" +2 at my house, BUT my thermometer at home is in the relatively warm/protected area of the farmers porch on the front of my house.

The weather channel said it was -10F, even with my new battery it was a sluggish start for my car this morning.

I bet we'll hear a report about someone's dog freezing to the ground while they were taking a pee, or some kids tongue getting stuck to a light pole today  Then again that assumes that kids actually have school today as more than a couple of districts in CT closed for the cold today

You'd think nowadays with the "extra insulation layers" that many kids are sporting from doing nothing but play guitar hero for 8 hours a day that they'd be able to handle a 5 minute wait in some cold air

Tomorrow morning is a PASR day at Jack Frost...it's going to be tough to get out of bed to drive double as far as Blue mountain to ski a mountain with half the vert with lifts that move at half the speed and it's also about 10 degrees colder up there..but if I don't go I'll be called a vagina..

my car was metal on metal when it started. strange sound for sure.

the knobs inside for the heater and such, you couldnt feel the "click" for the various positions, everything was moving like it was stuck in taffy.

Headed to Saddleback for a long weekend of skiing...checked this morning and it showed a balmy -37. Decided to work today instead of making it a 4 day weekend. Sunday is forecast as a high of 18 which will feel pretty pleasant in comparison.

With the cold temps keeping everyone in you'll be rewarded when you show up. The upper mountain was closed for the better part of the week due to the brutal temps. It's wide open today and thru the weekend so everything will be very fresh!. I'm JEALOUS! Hopefully I can get up there next weekend.
