You all asked excellent questions and I knew that Chris would do them justice. He did. Very impressed. This place has come a long way. I really look forward to setting skis down there some time!

Why put in a lift, just to have to lengthen it a few years later???

They probably did not anticipate opening that area....and they probably figured that their "core market" would be interested in what they had. Besides that I've heard that the summit area was very exposed and that they did not want to run the lift up there if they did not have to. So it is the cost of either (a) lengthening the lift (which like installation they did themselves) or (b) Installing a new lift (big $$$), or (c) getting the T-Bar going (unlikely) or installing a surface lift that could accomodate skiers but not boarders too well.

I was impressed with Chis' responses....and obviously some excellent questions posed.

I'm up for an AZ day. I've never been there. Every time I consider the drive time (not distance but time (back roads)), I either opt to go huge (take the entire day and hit a larger resort) and stick with Wa (already paid for the pass...ski the AM, go to work late).

I've heard nice things about the conditions...and Chris' candor (org philosophy) give a good vibe.

I'm in.
