I'm not into the whole having sex with animals thing, but if you had a choice wouldn't you rather have the animal be alive? IMO, killing it just takes all the fun out of raping a horse. Being completely terrified that thing is going to kick you right in the balls is half the fun...

I forwarded this link to a friend who turns out had already heard about the story from a mutual friend in Milwaukee (where this made BIG headlines, by the way), and he gave me some additional info:

"First of all, the defendant's lawyer made an argument that 'if having sex with dead animals is illegal, then doesn't that mean it's illegal to masturbate with some ham from the deli counter?'. Also, the defendant ended up getting arrested again after the first conviction for loitering in a restricted area of the state fair, where the livestock are held."​
