My wife does. Generally not very detailed. Mostly just brief notes on dates and locations. And she'll add some description if conditions are unusually good or bad, or if we hook up with other folks while skiing. She'll also make some notes about restaurants and pubs we visit on over night trips.

Don't know what it would serve...

No. I'm not training for anything so I wouldn't see the point. I don't need to do anymore pointless paperwork/tracking.

For me, and this probably sounds pretty pathetic, I like to look back on my old TRs here, especially during the summer. I don't do much tracking beyond counting days out; not into counting runs or vert or anything like that. That does seem like too much work. Knowing how many days I got out is enough for me.

holy crap its a competition.

do they hand out awards at the end of the season?

I guess it might help encourage some to get out more, but it is a bit geeky...

Touché. But tracking runs and vert is even too much for this geek...

Have you read some of the TR's by JSpin over on FTO? You want to talk about complete, it's the next best thing to actually being there. I don't know where he finds the time.

I remember a few TRs when trailboss would color coordinate trail names to difficulty rating, i.e. green, blue, black!

No awards...I'm the unofficial Stats manager because A-holes sometimes say they ski 300,000 vert in a day just to get under my skin..

I know I ski more runs due to the top 10 stats on PASR..

I've had the privilage of skiing with J-Spin because he was in med school when I was in undergrad at UVM...I love reading his TRs great stats and graphs with his GPS watch..

I typical write a page long report for a 3 hour evening session at Blue mountain and I write a report everyday I ski...119 days last season...it's the first thing I do when I get home from skiing and on ski trips..it's awesome when the hotel has a computer in the lobby so I can post reports from afar for my PA ski buddies..

I think Greg is going to need to buy some more server space this winter for all of GSS's trip reports! :p

I think that's cool. I do the same thing and often have Sundown TRs posted by 11 pm; sometimes staying up until 12:30 or 1 am to edit and post a silly video for all of your viewing pleasure...

That's the extent of my geekness.

I really like your ambition grilledsteezesandwich. I think I will do that this season. No one seems like to write trip reports from sno mountain here so i will be the first one!

Seems like a great guy...I love the fact that he brings his little son along with him on some of his skinning runs.
