Do you lock up your skis???

I don't lock my skis but I do separate them so that it is more difficult to steal both skis. If I'm with my wife and/or children I'll take one of their skis and pair it up with one of mine and store those in one rack. Then do the same thing with the other ski(s) and store those in a rack far away from the other "set" of skis. Someone would really have to be determined to find the mates and then steal my set of skis.

It at least makes me feel better about the security of my skis and so far, I haven't lost any skis to thieves.

Seperating skis is one of the biggest gaper moves ever..the thieves are there watching you seperate your shit..lol Spend 15 bucks and buy a lock

Yes. I didn't for years, but then one day while changing out of our boots in the afternoon, my Dad's skis were stolen (we were at Gore, which we figured would be safer than average). Now I lock them almost all the time.

I don't bother locking my skis because there is always other skis that are newer or more expensive around. I figure that if someone really wants my skis they will get them whether or not they are locked up.

My ski tote be popping my ski tote be cool..see my ski tote by the ski racks..and all the girls think I'm cool..

When it's time to ski my ski-tote rocks..Red Ski tote..next to my ski socks..rocking my ski tote yes the ladies flock.

When it's time for lunch my skis go in the tote..saves my skis like a castles protected by a moat..Saves my back from the extra strain..even use my ski tote in the rain..it's insane in the Membrane..even brought my skis to Cypress Hill..Still spying my skis from the window sill..Anyone mess with my skis I'll break their neck..when I rock my ski tote I get hella respect..Holla

No i never lock up my skis i and have never had a problem with them being stolen. I think people who use a lock on there skis are too paranoid because the chances of your skis actually being stolen is very low.

maybe not skis, but snowboards are taken quite often in the Poconos. I lock my board always or put it in ski check.

BADDDDDDDD IDEA.......

There was one time when my mom and dad were skiing, and i was with them, there lock was broken, so they split the ski's. We came back from the lodge, and one pair of the split ski's was gone!!! I guess someone took them in such a hurry that they didn't notice that the skis didn't match. So instead of one of my parents not being able to ski, both couldn't........

O yea, the reason we locked our ski's in the first place? Cuz they had been stolen before :angry:

Bought one lock last year for my new skis and will buy another this year for daughter's. Will lock up or use ski watch if available (don't forget to tip the ski watch folks as it's a small investment that keeps expensive equipment from possibly walking).
