Here we go with the long range forecasts. Folks - let's take it week by week. Unless of course the long range outlooks are favorable, then they are accurate! ;)

I'm taking it week-by-week. I want to ski THIS week!

Mtns probably won't make snow unless the short term and long term forecast are good. I'm concerned about short term. If they don't start tomorrow or wed it may be a while before we get the season going.

Russ is usually right on.

logistically, Jay might not be ready and given their distance from everywhere except Canada, you'd think they would want to give some advance warning for those who might want to make the trek. It's not like most people can jump in the car and make a reasonable trip. Granted, if they were the option, I would do so!

Here we go!

Snowmaking started last night on T2 and we're planning to keep the guns blasting every minute the temps are below 32 this week, day and night. As soon as the lower mountain gets cold enough we have an arsenal of new Boyne fan guns set up Sunday Punch ready to go.

Opening day is still officially planned for November 7 -- get ready.

Sayin' it now. If the River or Killington is open next Saturday, I'll be there. Snow is a tad too much of a pain in the ass to get to for WROD, but I'll make the trip for K or SR.

Let's Get it Started

JEA!

Gotta take this one back. My lady has been having some pretty significant health issues for two weeks. Thought we had them under control last weekend, but they've still been pretty bad for the last four days. She finally seems to have turned a bit of a corner today, but still got inconclusive results from the doc's regarding what has totally blown up her stomach and has made her unable to keep anything down for two weeks.....especially in the morning :( No...she's not pregnant. What's worrisome is that she's been 100% healthy with no issues for the past three years.

But she seems to be doing a bit better finally today. She's wiped out still, but coming around. I think a nice weekend in Boston, getting out of the house with a nice dinner and visits to museums she likes will help her on her way back to normal.

Get after it cha'll

I'll be enjoying it with ya soon
