Wait until their end of the winter season sale and go in on the first day. You'll find amazing deals there. A couple of years ago I got some really nice Merrell (sp?) shoes (not quite hiking shoes but nice). They were usually like $130 or something like that. I got them for like $50. I love those shoes.

They also had a lot of clothing and other things winter on sale at the time as well. I got some other stuff but the shoes were the biggest score.

Really expensive, super wind and water proof, quintuple insulated, leather palmed with a snot rag on top ski glove. Wait for a summer sale and throw some extra ontop the 50. Make sure they have a built in Ipod and DVD player with GPS on the otherside.

I really hate my new gloves. Dreaming of new ones.

I keep hearing rumors that EMS as a whole will be closing. Anybody hear anything like that? One of these rumors supposedly came from a manager of a local EMS store.

I highly doubt that EMS is going to close. They are doing well from what I see. Growing in fact.

Idea: get one of the new Meathead films. I picked up Epoch and love it!

They will occasionally close stores if they become overly concentrated in an area. The less profitable location goes. It may not be just sales but also overhead at a location.

sometimes quick over expansion sinks a business. not saying that is the case here, but just saying that just cause they are growing does not mean they are succeeding at doing so. sometimes the rush to capture market share can sink a business.

The one in the Civic Center?

I used to love that one. Manchester is the closest one to me, and its not too bad, but there really was something about the one in the HCC, especially in the late 70's - early 80's.
