He does have the right of way, but it is still annoying. Just have to pick your spot to pass, and I usually bang the hell out of my poles behind my back as a warning. Seems to have worked so far.

Had this happen a couple of times this past Saturday. These guys took the whole width of the trail....I usually just buzzed past them at a safe point, unlike the snowboarder that ran into me near the quad on Saturday and did not know how to say I am sorry...Its kids like him that ruin it for the rest of the Snowboarders.

Meh, if he's skiing the width of the trail, that means you know when he's likely to turn and you can pass him safely.

It's the slow people that turn erratically and unpredictably that bug me. If you run into one of those idiots you just have to give a wide berth and do the best you can.

In other news, I don't really miss resort skiing.

I snowboard and I hate boarders like these giving us a bad reputation. I've been on the receiving end of someone crashing into me both skiers and snowboarders ( I should probably say skier not skiers cause there was only one) but everyone has always apologized and shown some general concern. I know it sucks when someone is making big turns and blocking the trail but if you can't time out passing this person without it being sketchy for you and them then you're just SOL. I did have a ski patrol at Jiminy Peak tell me and my friends not get in his way like snowboarders always do on while riding up on the lift. He also said some other things but this sticks out the most. I wanted to throw him off the lift for being an a-hole. I'm an adult and so are my friends. We don't go to the mtn to goof around and be annoying, we go to ride. I was pretty close to going down to the lodge and reeming someone out about this but I tried to let it go and kept riding.

If they are Rhythmic in their pattern it just like playing Human Slalom . I take a look to see their pattern from afar and just rip on by an occasional 'spray job while carving also sends a message :D:D

Save your breath...

We suck and are responsible for 90% of all the terror that occurs on any given ski area that we are not banned at..
People will see and report only the negative...

So just buckle in a enjoy the snowboarding...

Unless I'm mistaken and GS stands for Gaper Skiing looping slowly from side to side has got nothing to do with GS.

My everyday skis have a 21 meter natural turn radius. I use a lot more of the trail than back in the day when I skied SL skinny skis.
