Ski sundown (night) feb-15-08

Conditions: loose gran, spring like

Warm 40 ish, cloudy

Got to sundown at 4 skied till 630 knew there wasn’t any bumps on nor easter but still felt like I should get out and take some turns. Conditions and the weather not to mention the lack of crowds allowed me almost 20 runs, mostly down canyon run to the bumps on exhibition. The bumps were very very flat but allowed a good chance for me to practice speed for the up coming bump comp. while still keeping my line, balance ect ..

They had both lifts running and at most maybe a four chair wait on lift one things started to firm up and wind picked up as the sun set so I made a few more runs then left at 6 30. nor easter sucked with out bumps, not a very exciting trail, looking forward to the bump building on tempter later next week. Ill keep everyone updated!

Cheers,

chris

Thanks for the TR, Chris. Knowing the only bumps were on Ex, I just couldn't find the motivation to head over tonight. Had this been early December, I'd have been there anyway. Oh well. I still will do Wednesday night if others are into it. Can't wait for Temptor!

it was tough for me to, but glad i did get out

Hi Chris,

Just curious, I notice on your signature that you hit the mighty Goo once this year. Why may I ask? I live 10 minutes down the road and just can't seem to get the motivation to go there.

ahhh yes i recall you told me you live by there, well to answer your question I had never skied there before and had to ski in the ocean state at least once during my skiing life time the best part of the whole trip was driving down route 2 then realizing that I was in fact driving next/ down (kind of) to the ski area
i had an enjoyable time
