I decided to start a new thread so as NOT to tie in all the angst with the good news/solution.
After about a 30 minute ... let's call it airing of issues... "Eastern Boarder" in Worcester and I came to an agreement. I see their side in that they are totally confident that they don't/never will have loc-tite on premises. So it quickly came to a "he said/she said" discussion. SInce my son was unhurt (thankfully) and all he lost was a few hours due to the broken binding (because Killington "gave" him a Burton Royalle to demo for free...we decided that a deep discount on a replacement board was fair to all parties.
They made no profit...in fact they claim to have lost a bit on the replacement board. We opted for the Rome Flag in a 163. We are ready to give a ride this weekend...originally intended to go to Wildcat, but I'm opting to use the great weather to get my wife out onto the snow so we get the whole FAM out there...and eventually ALL go to the Cat.
Anyway, thanks for reading all my rants..and giving all your support. EB eventually did the right thing. We spent a lot of time on the phone and I feel we both made the best of the bad situation.
The boy made out in that I originally only upgraded his bindings. Now his set-up has been substantially upgraded. He's worth it. Great kid doing very well @ Northeastern. Looking forward to seeing him smile on his new ride.
So would I recommend EB to others. Yes. Supporting local small businesses is a good thing. And I would NOT have wanted to attempt resolving this issue with say...The-House or any of the other on-line stores.
