Anyone have a sense of the timing on this storm?

Contemplating day trip to Bell from C. NJ, so 6:30am sunday departure. Still dumping at that hour?

Im seeing that the worst of it is going to be early sunday am... so yes I believe it will still be dumping at that hour. Looks like Sunday as a whole will not be a good travel day.

First (significant) snowfalls seem to always make people do crazy things on the roads in the lowlands.

All it will take is a slight shift north for the Poconos to get totally screwed, which gives me high confidence this storm verifies.

Lol It's not going to make any difference if it screws them. If it doesn't the next storm is a cutter and will. As it is I will not even try to go to the Pocono's on Sunday. If your thinking powder day, unless your absolutely the 1st chair you might get 1 run before its cut to shreds. Not much is open and nothing that hasn't been hit by snow guns will magically open.

On the upside for the Pocono's, they just got a good shot and will get another good window to make snow after the rain so they will slowly but surely expand. Best snows in the Pocono's are after the base has been laid down, then the surface gets really nice.

NWS Gray, Albany, and Burlington are all showing much higher numbers for the exact same regions than their counterparts in New York and Boston are. Like, showing widespread 12-18" for regions that NY and BOS all have in 8-12" with nothing above a foot to be found in their forecasts.

"3 storm snow train" = now we're screwed.
2nd train is heading off the rails
That second train has a unfortunate Wet behind the Whistle driver at the moment : ( Some of the forecasts are seeing 6"+ of Snow before a changeover to everything. Sleet, Ice & RRRrrrrr going to be a wild Week up in Ski, Board & Snow-land. A Lucky few mountains with enough cold and elevation might find a silver lining to the 2nd Storm.

I think it's just going to be consistent rather than a huge dump...
I'll take anything at this point..
Yep, calling for it to snow through Sunday evening.
Dry powder, should be a good weekend for the hills.
