Would be a fun day at blue for sure. I was banking on the catskills tomorrow but don't think it's worth the time off now. And blue will be skied off and groomed in by then.

SO this Tuesday Snow storm swung way to LOW for anything in the upper Northeast to get Snow. Vermont is a total miss not even at the bottom of the state and (Mount Snow). Keep our Ski's and Board's ready because a Thursday night into Friday Snow storm is our next best chance at new SNOW and better coverage. Here's to the SNOW gods! May they bless us once again in the Northeast with SNOW : )
We are currently hoping on Ohhhh Clipper storm, Ohhhhh Clipper storm. Where are thou Ohhhh Clipper storm

Snow appeared in Vermont last night to the HAPPY surprise of more then a few ; )
I checked radar a number of times. This was classic cellular snow shower activity that turned into “streamers” once the front passed. Very upslope oriented. Not typically a good set up for Magic. But a NW-SE streamer set up that hit Brom and Magic. No predicting that. Purely snow gods smiling….

Oh and this was the northern stream system that failed to phase with southern storm and resulted in zero snow from coastal. It must have felt bad for us lol……
That would explain it. Any snow is good snow. 6-8 will fill in some bare spots.
We thank the SNOW gods and offer prayers and words in their name. Sacrifices of Time, Sweat, Wax and occasionally Blood!
"Ullr" we thank you, "Mother Nature" we thank you. Please bring the SNOW and COLD!!

Thursday night in Vermont

Its happening. Thursday through Saturday!! 2 Snow storms.
First a Northern Clipper system and then a cross county mid Atlantic storm back to back. Who wins this Snow lottery?
Need the storm systems to SLOW down to get better Snow production : )
Stowe and north to Jaypeak VT and Mt. Washington, NH areas are in good possible SNOW drop zones.

NOAA Outlooks for 2nd Half of February: Promising Conditions in the West and Northeast, Mixed Prospects Elsewhere. Average Northeast temperatures and above average precipitation.

Interesting this article has parts or major parts all written by AI. I found this included Hmmmmmm.
The NOAA yesterday released its outlooks for the second half of February, both 6-10 day and 8-14 day.
Here’s an AI generated summary of the text discussion for skiers.
The full discussion for those familiar with meteorology jargon is further below.

Definitely has a few issues lol. Has anyone recently tried the Florida Ski areas?
Don't upset HAL

  • East Coast: Near-normal temperatures with a slight tilt towards below-normal in south Florida might affect snow quality and accumulation in ski resorts in these areas.

GRAB ANYTHING YOU CAN. Ugly warm weather and not fun spring type currently lurking 8-10 days out.

Maybe Mother nature can turn the temperature down but ugly temps ahead more then a week out. ANYTHING through next weekend are the goods considering
