Just wanted to post something as this is my virgin trip here! The conditions should be awesome this weekend. Anyone know what the forecast is calling for? See you Saturday.

You don't say where, but we'll assume whiteface?

I know Hunter is jammin...I would imagine the summit is not open up there yet....I'll go check...

Anyone in Placid with a report?

You'd image wrong. Whiteface summit opened Wednesday (12/15) rumors have it they may get a foot of snow from this lastest storm. About 25+ trails are currently open with more to come this weekend.

I think it's Knuckle Dragger of FTO fame; nice to see you over here too KD.

What is "FTO"?

Federation of Tour Operators?
Foreign Terrorist Organizations?
Frontier Oil Corp.?

FTO is First Tracks Online: http://www.firsttracksonline.com/

Ok, gotchya. I forgot about that place. The Knuckle Dragger over at FTO is from CT just like the Knuckle Dragger over at KZONE. This guy makes and sells his own snowboards at www.roguesnowboards.com.

He shows pics of how he makes them. Pretty freaking cool: http://www.killingtonzone.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7171&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Really??? I like Paron's. Sure it's not the steepest but the views are first rate and the trail winds around and has interesting little features and often the powder stashes skiers' left are some of the best around. Paron's, when it's skiin' well, is supurb, IMO. Plus, it allows you to bring novices to the summit and then ski over 3000' of vert which they always find to be so cool. Big fan of Paron's Run!
