I somehow missed this the first time around (no I'm not just bumping it ;) ).

I think Wildcat will try to open first again like this past season.

Killington just announced in their "Drift" news letter they will be blowing snow sixty days from now, so I anticipate they will be open November 1, 2006

The first to open will be the ski area that has enough natural or manmade snow to do so.

I believe I predicted Hunter a while ago, but I'd like to kick myself for getting drawn into these discussions and withdraw that prediction.

I REALLY have no use for these prediction threads.

And dont count out Woodbury. Im still rooting for the Cataloochee. Had my gear packed, ready to roll on official word that they were opening. Unfortunately, they just didnt like what they had. The could have_

Just looked at my post when this started... K on the 9th same day as the river . BW on the 10th. My adjusted view is SR on Tues BW on wed K on friday. why I want to be right, But I would like to ski the River this weekend. I might have posted that some where else.
