I'm finally getting my first turns of the year in :beer: I'm headed to mount snow on saturday. Anyone know how the mountain is lookin? I hope it's better up there than it is down here in jersey. It's friggen pooring!! right now. Hopfully it's colder up north.

Actually, rain isn't as damaging to a slope's base as Fog is. Rain will perk down through the crystals especially with Man-made and not erode the base too much even if it lasts for a day. Fog just eats away at a very heavy clip. Don't confuse this with SNOW FOG which is created by a snow cover and a temperature inversion. I'm talking about a bona fide New England valley fog created by 100% humidity. The biggest bummer with Rain would be when it Snows, then turns to Rain and then goes into a deep freeze (usually with a clear and sunny sky). I've seen that happen in January more than I would like to remember.

Well, I did snow yesterday. And i gotta say I was as giddy as a school girl to be getting in my first turns :p :p Conditions were....well, good considering the weather. Come on mother nature!!!!! Had a blast cant wait for my next trip on friday :eek: :lol: :lol:
I was a frigen comercial for this site telling everone about it. So, if the girl from hoboken that I rode up the lift with reads this....I hope your alright. She fell and hit her head as we got off the lift on the north face.....It looked like she really got hurt. :cry: :(
