Lastest models are showing a major coastal storm late this week that should pull down the arctic air and bring in another good snowstorm.

Tomorrow, if it snows in Dallas (mix forecasted), then it would be the first time EVER (at least since records started) that there would be anything greater than a trace in April there.

Easter Sunday, Washington DC should wake up to 4-6"!

The Masters Tournament in GA was delayed today due to frost and could be tomorrow and Sunday.

Meanwhile, the short term forecast for us shows continued cold with some snow showers right through next week.

Also, with this recent streak of holiday snowstorms, should we start planning for the Mothers Day and Memorial Day storms? 4th of July!?!

I'm flying to China on Friday, so it will probably come a blizzard, leaving me stuck on the runway for 9 hours, and not able to go skiing.

I do intend to ski at the indoor slope in Shanghai, though.

"Ski Widow", right?

Correct, my friends and family refer to my wife as the "ski widow" (she does not ski and has no intentions). She's a good woman - but this season extension has even got her on wits end............. She knows I'm heading back this w/e..........................................good thing I put this in the pre-nuptual agreement!

It looks like the storm is going to be a heavy hitter for Southern New England with Northeastern Connecticut (lucky me:spin: ) Northern Rhode Island and the Boston area in line for early estimates of greater than 6" of snow with some models showing 24" yikes.

Already starting to say 6"+ as far south and east as Boston. Can't imagine what this one will do in NNE as there will be an upper level low spinning in the Great Lakes combining forces with this. Looking like around a foot is possible for the MA/CT hills (wonder if that would get Wachusett, Sundown, Beast etc to reopen?) and obviously more the further north and higher up you get.

NOAA just changed the weekend forecast for the Sugarloaf area from a chance of snow, sleet or rain on saturday night and sunday to just a chance of plain rain.

It looks like a significant amount of rain will fall across New England late this weekend with possible flooding due to rapid snowmelt.:-? :-(

Thursday looks interesting for SNE with 6-12" of heavy wet slop possible.
