Outside of signifying that the season is near, gear guides typically do nothing for me. I really should just put them in the dresser for a couple of years and then open it up when that years gear becomes affordable to me.

These are usually pretty good for a few chuckles. IMHO, SkiPress has about the best "print" reviews.

I've got the last 3 years in my bathroom. I like to study up so when I find a deal I know all about it already. :-D I want to start studying now for next years purchase ...

Skiing on facebook said the mags would be in newstands this week. I took that to mean that they are in the mail too. I could be wrong about my assumption, but nothing is more annoying that having a subscription to a mag and seeing it in the store before you get yours.

I already know what I am buying so I don't need the guide. What I do need is this year's models to hit the store already! :D:D:D

screw this years gear...already been skiing on it since Jan, I'm waiting on some 2010/2011 shit!

Got the Powder guide on monday...great tribute to Shane McConkey...he was the man.

yeah, subscribers are supposed to get the mag BEFORE it hits the newstands...that's part of the point of subscribing.

Dynafits too?
That will be next year's purchase. Along with a fat ski to mount them too :D Can only afford so many upgrades in one year!!! LOL It seems like one would be better off going with the Argon if one was not interested in Dynafit compatibility.

BTW- I'll be touring a lot more this year. Still don't even know if I will get a pass or not. I think not getting a pass will be incentive to tour more. Still on the fence as even "touring more" will still be no more than 50% of my days (which is still a big step up).

any weekend.........I'm there. No AT boots here, but new boards, dukes, and whatever else I'll need, I'll have. Would love to explore the Whites with you and Austin several times next winter.
