When I was first getting back into skiing a dozen years ago, I dreamed up a goal to ski every open area in New England. I bagged out on that goal before I moved north but I could see revitalizing that goal in a more limited scope such as every open area in NH or VT. Northern New England would even be daunting because of the areas way up in northern ME. I think this will probably come back into play as I get older and terrain and conditions are less important to me than just getting out and visiting a new area. Opting to go with a season pass really challenges the concept of visiting lots of new areas. But it is a trade off so I decided to shelve the goal. For the time being.

I was only in Utah once and we stayed in Park City. I did here that besides ordering food with a beer in SLC, you also had to buy a temporey membership to the bar. If you want to go to a different bar you need to buy a new membership. Can anyone confirm that?

It was still true when I visited last February. Hopefully it has changed as some are saying. Another issue if you enjoy beer and bars is they have a limit on the alcohol content that can be served. It's low. Consequently, they serve some local brews with cool sounding names that s-u-c-k. To get a normal decent beer at a store you have to go to the liquor store. I was never so happy to score Sierra Nevada.

My goal this year is a couple of bump lessons. I charge down bumps and get tossed too much. I need to get my form under control.

My biggest goals this year are for my 4yr old...got her off the magic carpet, tip locks, and leash last spring...so this year I'm hoping to get her comfortably cruising blues by the end of the season. Would like to get her into a seasonal program either midweek and local or weekend at sunday river.
