Anything I ever learned from skiing from from the old-timer at cannon in the 80's. They themselves were in their 80's and owned that mountain. Anyone that was a regular at the time knows what I'm talking about.

On a seperate note my dad is in his late sixties and is still technically everything I ever want to be as a skier.

Are you talking about Bob the laywer from New York City?He use to day trip from NYC.What an animal.Cyrus is still around today and in his 80's.

I followed Billy Kidd down a hard pack slope, after talking with him one day after a Steamboat race. You can ski fast, you can ski with style or you can do both.

Kidd wasn't skiing more than moderately fast, but he carved it like butter, having a grace, style and perfect control. It was like watching perfection.

I'm specifically remembering folowing Paul Valar and Micky/Marge Libby. Old people with perfect turns is what they were to me. I still want to be old as hell and makes turns like that!!! Haha Cyrus, I remember that guy I think. Was he doing the snowphone for a couple years, just a regular guy getting on the phone report?

There was a old guy called Tannin that used to ski Pico when I was there in the 70's as a young adventurous asswipe, specifically 75 to 79. He had to be 75 or 80 but could rip. Always freaked me out. Anybody remember him?

You should see what the "older" guys do at Sunday morning first tracks at Sugarloaf. Theres never more than 30 of us spread out all over the hill so you can kill it without any worries. These guys tear that sh*t up in a serious manner. Crazy full out down comp hill, narrow gauge, you name it. I guess in a few weeks some of you will see it.
