after watching that, Iceman admitted to me that he looks at the 1st bump. He's gonna have to work on that.
Ha. I've been telling him that for some time now. Glad he see's what i'm sayingafter watching that, Iceman admitted to me that he looks at the 1st bump. He's gonna have to work on that.
Last year was my first, but for the kids' camps they needed the rest of the space for freeride. Which was kinda nice, their course was super rutted and beat up by the time we got there and got brand new lanes.Although years apart, this video, mogul logics video and Smart mogul skiing's video all say basically the same thing. The more things change, the more they stay the same I guess.
Mondeo, Smart predominatey uses the lookers right of the showcase t-bar for mogul training these days?

And based on what they said about that, it might be the cause of his head bobbing... I'm trying to get him to the 2 week camp at Whister. Hopefully Matt will work on that.

Whistler camps friggin rule!
You gonna do one this year Oz? Some of our crew are lining up for ML Session 1 (6/25-7/3). Last year Hannah, PA, Bilodeau, Bryon Wilson etc. etc. were all up there ... so awesome to watch & learn from...

I have seen an absorption course with the bumps before on the seeded bumps lift side of OL. I never knew what it was for and just realized.
How do you control your speed when it really starts picking up? I end up losing control and my skis get away from me. Do you just "hit" the bumps harder or push into them more?
Absorb more or take a wider line. On flat bumps, I'll basically go straight, all speed control is through absorption. As they get steeper, the tips get pointed further and further away from the middle of the line; this makes the moguls effectively larger, so you have more asorption, and puts turning into the mix as a means of speed control. Beyond that, I start skidding and doing other nasty things to compensate for lack of ability. How do you control your speed when it really starts picking up?
