Thanks for keeping us up-to-date Breeze; nice to hear from you. It's too bad I couldn't get up this season for one last dat at Wildcat this season. Oh-well, I got in a few good ones earlier this season. Maybe I will hike it later this week? Hmmm... What trails have good bumps (tomcat or Gondi Line)...?
Any changes/plans for the 05/06 Ski Season?
Would Wildcat ever consider a weekend of lift serviced Biking considering you run the Lifts in the Summer Time anyways?

Does this look like a ski area challenge to you?:wink:

How? I think it kind of is. In the way the groomer trails are, and I guess al's follys is kinda like goat. Except goat is way steeper, longer and harder. But something like upper wildcat could be compared to nosedive, I guess. So I would say in terms of groomers there alike(and both about equally good) but in terms of mogul/off piste runs Stowe kills Wildcat.

BTW, a one word post. Trying to pad our post count are we?:wink:

i just don't see much comparison between stowe and wildcat. they both grew out of CCC cut trails, but they have since gone in radically different directions, and there are pluses in minuses in both directions. for example, there are no expert trails at wildcat as straight and wide as national and liftline at stowe  not that there is anything wrong with those trails and the fact that they are not what they used to be. but then again, there is nothing like chin clip at that cat, nor goat. stowe skis radically different than the cat spreading everything out so much. i just don't see a lot in the way of similarity. they are both good for their own reasons, but they are rather different beasts in my mind.

But is it worth the drive from VT? How about as a day after tucks?
heck yea wildcat is worth a shot. too many VT'ers forget there are good mountains in other states. though from starksboro, you are looking at a three hour drive. would be a good combo if you were doing tucks and staying the night in gorham. other wise, i would wait for NH to get a dump that VT doesn't get or if conditions are pretty even across the board and give it a shot. i know from my saddleback experience that it is hard driving three hours east to ski when you have some phenomenal options in your backyard, but if the timing is right, it is most defintiely worth it.
