I want to take a small day trip this week just to get away from Wawa and have decided on going to Jiminy. It it pretty bad this week?

Jiminy this week

I am also looking at a possible Jiminy day-trip this Wednesday. I promised a 15 year old nephew who has never skied some lessons. In past years, I have found mid-week OK despite the holiday. In fact, because of the holiday they will likely run all the lifts and that works just fine.

Never skied it during a vacation week, but I would imagine it wouldn't be any more crowded than a weekend. Start on the six and work skier's left to right. When the six backs up, ride one of the quads for a bit. Eat lunch early (by 11:30). Ski during everyone else's lunch. After the post-lunch crowd, the mountain will likely empty out (around 2 pm). Enjoy.

Good deal. I like mountains that have multiple lifts to their summits as there's usually one lift without a line. I was actually planning on lapping Whitetail for a while around the peak crowd.

I went to Jiminy in April of 2004. It was pretty good, although terrain was somewhat limited. Major stuff like Turkey, Jericho, Whirlaway, Whitetail, and North Glade were open though. Turkey and Jericho were excellent. Fox, the whole Widow White's area, and the park were closed.
