I got 2 last year. But the hour I spent at Woodbury in nearly Nov doesn't really count. I should be able to get 1 day in this year.

1 if big Boulder opens early again just for sh!ts and giggles and to see GSS break out the blowers!!!

JEA!!!!!...you made an appearance last year at Big Boulder in November. Atomic Jeff and I are thinking about doing an early season trip to Colorado and chilling with Nick and Glenn..but for me it has to be uber last minute based on snow..

I am abstaining from the vote as this is one of the few months of the year that is completely dependent on the weather and temperature. Any other month right through June is entirely depending upon my personal drive and flexibility to get to the hills.

I usually ski every weekend plus all 4 days at Thanksgiving. With the new Killington ownership, I got 8 days last year which was pretty low for me. A hike to ski Rime at Killington. Re-opening Saturday at Sunday River. The weekends and Turkey Day when Killington opened. I'm not working this winter so I'll ski when they run the lifts. You never know in November. I might get 15 or 20 days. I might get just a couple if the weather is lousy for making snow.

All Mount Snow has said about opening day is as soon as it gets cold enough for them to run the fan guns long enough to get the place open. Doubt they'd do a Wednesday opening or any other non Friday mid week day, so whatever turns out to be the 1st Friday/Saturday after a good snowmaking window is when they'll spin the lifts.

Weather dependent, and taking into account my tailgating schedule in November at Gilllette Stadium and family stuff for Turkey Day, I'm hoping for 5 days in November this year.

If Chute is part of the offering, I might be down for the first Friday they are open.

It's going to be interesting to see how Mount Snow uses there "finite" snowmaking resource(water) with respect to opening this year. My guess is that you might see more of a push to get more of the Carinthia park area open 1st this year and possibly hold Chute back for a few days. We'll see.

My guess is that for opening day, Mount Snow will have Upper Canyon/Standard and Nitro/Lower Titanium as well as the beginner area(all of this is now fan gun covered). Then, if they can pump enough water up the hill, the question will be do they connect Carinthia and The Main Face areas via Deer Run(once again all fan gun snow) or use some air and run the air/water guns down the North face??

We should know in less than 70 days!

Hope to get my usual one day in over T-day weekend. Have no desire to eat up vacation days for early season skiing no matter how much I usually want to get out.
