How many days do you expect to ski in November 2008?

Yep. Tricky time, but you'll benefit at the buying end, but get whacked at the selling end. I work in Marlborough most days.

I own a 2 family. I'm just going to rent it out for now. Anyone looking for a 3br apt in Leominster? Lots of storage and a garage bay. Workbenches in the basement if you wanna use it for working on skis . . .

I'm really hoping Mount Snow is open for the weekend of the 15th..if that's the case..then that's two days there..unless the Skills are open by then. I always like to go to Vermont on Black Friday. Last year I had a reunion that day so I drove to Rutland Saturday..skied Okemo Sunday on canned food day and then skied an empty Killington Monday before driving back. I just hope it's cold enough for a fair amount of terrain for Thanksgiving weekend..

Weather Permitting Blue mountain should open about a week after Thanksgiving and that's when I really can rack up the days and spend less $$$

At least 3... maybe 4, depending on if Wachusett opens up on time. I don't go nuts trying to get days in November (well, after getting that first one at least).

I said 6-8 and I'm dropping it down to 4-6 since I don't expect to ski next weekend due to this weather unless a miracle happens..

What miracle? It's supposed to be around the clock snowmaking temperatures from Sunday night onwards. Friday looks iffy at the moment but they have a big snowmaking window before then. KMart should be able to resurface everything they had and add a few more trails for next weekend. I'd expect a repeat of last year where the next to go online will be Powerline next to the Glades triple, Mouse Trap, and maybe the poma and upper Bunny Buster.

Mount Snow looks like they'll have trouble blowing snow at the bottom. Monday night appears to be their only window. They should be able to make snow closer to the top all week and those new fan guns kick out an awful lot of snow.

This is a bit of hearsay....but I've heard that those things can kick out 2" of snow an hour in 100'x100' foot area running at full tilt. I should ask around though and see if it's accurate.

Hopefully I will get one day in even though I am running out of weekends to go and am not going to take a weekday off for minimum terrain.

We'll see. With the economy going the way things are and my customers struggling, I feel the need to tighten the belt a bit and spend minimally beyond what I already have for my pass, ski club tickets and NH ski and ride card tickets. If I go to the Warren Miller Film, it could possibly be 3. If not either 1 next weekend at Sunday River for the can drive or I'll hold off to December. With work, family obligations and other factors to consider, the vast majority of my skiing will occur after January 1st.

I skied opening day at Killington so I have 1 day in so far. Am hoping to get a few more in but with the kids' cheerleading competitions and football playoffs it may not happen.
