Hooked up with ESki and another friend around 4:45... Hiked up... Spent a ton of time hanging out at the midstation deck... Eski had a few beers... did a few runs on Hellgate and whats left of Eisenhower...

How does the Hellgate patch compare to most years? The base when I was there in late March on Hellgate was insane. Way higher than the top of the fenceline by a few feet.

Bears were out.. We could smell them and see tracks and scat.. didnt see them.. found a red empty propane canister that had claw marks on it... they must've been playing with it...


Bugs were Ok...

eh, retirement is not like what you'd think it would be, it's soooo much better

btw, that propane tank was around the last hike also, as well as a lot more snow :-(

Glad to see your are doing well E-ski. Why were you not in albany for the show? DMC's Water bottle.

Dmc you may have not seen the post previously..... I have your water bottle it has a big dent from a tire in it. I tried texting you at the show it would not go through. We waited for you at the entrance we used at set break, never found you. It was a freekin zoo. Steve and I got crushed.
