Wah! How can flights be $100 cheaper this year than last? $237 round-trip for Mother's Day weekend again, Fri-Mon!

Who has upcoming trips out West so I can live vicariously through your trip reports?

Cheaper through NWA, even with flying out on Friday.
I didn't do any comparisions since I don't want to torture myself. Don't forget to include baggage fees, since SW doesn't charge for the first bag.

I know I had to pay for the 2nd bag (i.e. my skis) last year through NWA... did they switch to no free checked baggage? That blows.

Leaving for Vail on the 18th! I paid $380 including fees and taxes on Southwest. I don't know what computer access I'll have, but I'll take lots of pics and post when I get back.

Let me just add a few things........
When we traveled NWA in January, we didn't have to pay any baggage fees.
When My Inlaws traveled NWA Feb 17th, they didn't have to pay baggage fees.
I'm thinking that they are rethinking the baggage fees.

Another thing.......My Mother's day Weekend plans are not set in stone at the moment, but I do have the same condo deal set up and waiting for someone to fill it. How does Brian feel about bunk beds. :)

BTW, any one here like carrots?

(Trekchick's photo, BTW...)

I like what I'm hearing about NWA! Heck, I'd sleep on the couch again if I had to. It was pretty comfy anyway. :D

With Lilabears broken arm, volklgirls broken hip, and itir's day care situation, the gang may be smaller this year.
I'll see what I can do about my situation at home and let you know how it falls into place.

Ooooh here's a thought!!
You and Brian come with the kids, itri comes with her kid, Mollmeister comes with her kids and you all share cost of a baby sitter!!!!

Who pays for my kids to fly there? Great idea though!

Yeah, there's been a lot of bad luck amongst our group from last year. I better knock on some wood and be extra careful. ;) Worry about you and your family first; there's always next year.

If it makes you feel any better we are having a pretty long dry spell coupled with very warm temps. The mountain biking around here has been off the hook though!!!

I bought the spring A-Basin bonus pass a few weeks ago and am definately hooked. I am determined to get in the Alley's early on a deep day.

Edit-A-basin only spring pass is on sale @ 209.

If you're shopping for airfare online, I read in WSJ that tripadvisor.com is showing fares as well as baggage and other fees all in one summary quotation. no more hunting. kinda like internet merchants and shipping fees. WSJ says airlines will not be too happy.

prices are cheaper due to less demand and lower fuel costs..I don't know if I will head back out west this spring..it depends on $$$$$ for me..

NWA is still cheapest...and when booked through their own site. It seems that every time I've priced it out, it always works out that way. Thanks for the tip though.
