I'm still tryin to figure that one out..I feel like I'm tech savvy because I can text message, charge my IPOD, and embed youtube..well Greg taught me that..:)

31 in base-8 equals 25 in base-10.
You'll ahve to figure it out from there on your own. I've said too much already.

think of is as a counting system.
What does the #11 represent in the decimal system? 1 group of 10's, 1 group of 1's.
Base 8 works the same way, 11 = 1 group of 8's and 1 group of 1's.
Convert 11 from base 8 to base 10 would be a 9

base8 base10
1 = 1
2 = 2
3 = 3
4 = 4
5 = 5
6 = 6
7 = 7
10 = 8
11 = 9
12 = 10
13 = 11
14 = 12
15 = 13
16 = 14
17 = 15
20 = 16
(2 8's and 0 1's)

Right when I was pulling into work today the song 10001110101 from Clutch came on the radio. I really like the song, but can't decide if it's because I like the music or that the title is a binary number. ;)

Why would someone create a title with an 11-bit binary? Must not have been a true computer geek...

Hammer, c'mon, if you were a true computer geek you'd know that "11-bit binary number" is redundant. Bit = BInary digiT.
