For me, it was Vail screwing up and forcing me to look elsewhere. Swapped Epic for Indy + Gunstock for similar money. It has worked fantastic. Gunstock has better kids programs than Crotched and is 15-20 minutes closer to home for my quick hitter option. 1 hour vs 1:15-20. Now that Ragged has been added, it's even better as a NH based skier. I certainly miss being a Wildcat regular, but don't miss the constant frustrations with Vail. Indy price would have to shoot way up for me to consider going back to Epic. IKon is a poor option for day trips as a NH based skier

Most years I cave and get an epic pass but I'm standing my ground this year. Cannon, ragged and 5 days at jay leaves me money left to jump on a midweek day ticket somewhere if I feel like exploring. To me ikon isn't all that different than epic and only killington and loon are within daytrip range for me

I did cave last year and this for two Epic day passes. They're too reasonable not to. Last year was Cat / Tash. This year probably Cat / Sunapee as my daughter hasn't been to Sunapee.

As long as Vail continues to offer that, I'll bite. But, I can't see myself going back full time again.

I've had one every season since it started about five years ago. I've had some great trips on it. Jay. Cannon, Waterville. I use it mostly as an add-on to an Epic or Ikon but one year it was the only pass I had, and I still had a great winter. You're correct, its too good to pass up.

I've had one every year but last year when I bought a Cooper pass to support them. That worked out fine as they have a pretty broad network and are a fun mountain themselves. My travel pattern is changing this year to be Alaska focused when not at home in NH. Add in a possible Japan trip and the positives of Indy start to outweigh the asshole amateur mobster strongarm stuff.

I've added an Ikon base a few times, mainly because the nurse discount is so good. Living at Tenney though, that will be my home mountain, so their pass + Indy won't allow much time for Ikon.

I though it was Le Massif for a second too haha until I focused on the word "Sud". Bosquet is cool. Not sure about these ski clubs in NY. Kind of don't care. My winter is pretty much booked up now anyway.

Funny I tried manually putting in the massif-du-sud url last week, but no luck. I've found a few in advance that way in the past. It is a nice place, excellent tree skiing. I'd say I enjoyed it more than Le Massif. Nice to see that they finally got some Quebec stuff on there.

Bear Valley CA now makes the Central Sierras a lot more feasible. I'm big fan of Bear Valley and Dodge Ridge. They just need to pick up Badger Pass (Yosemite) to really complete the area.

Loveland is a huge win. Maybe hit that on our Spring Break Epic trip. It's late so we need to go to places that will actually be open (aka Breck)

Cazenovia, cool, if we're doing clubs can we get Yellowstone, Wasatch and Stagecoach?

Bosquet, nice will definitely do some night skiing on the way to VT.

WI area additions are helpful. Their state pass only allows for 1 area per day, so a couple additions makes it a lot cheaper to do 2 a day. Michigan state pass was nice, you could do as many per day as you'd like.

I'm pretty happy with the additions. Was hoping Whitefish would be the big score, but their ticket prices aren't too crazy anyway.

Innsbruck is the only place I've skied in Europe. My mom was a HS teacher and the school did a trip there and families of chaperones could come along. I was 9 and really only have one memory.

On the Schilltorn there was a lodge with some beginner trails below it about 80% of the way to the summit. Mom was tired, so my dad and I took a run down. Only way back up was the steepest T Bar I can ever recall using. My dad is 6', I was about 4'. Made it really difficult to balance the bar behind us. We kept trying to go up and I kept sliding off. We'd ski down and try again. We finally got within a few hundred feet of the top and I fell again. Frustrated, we tried to hike the rest. I passed out completely from the altitude. My dad was panicked. Then some Frenchman came along and woke me with smelling salts. Skied down with us and he helped me all the way up.

I wonder if someone with a lot of free time and travel money will attempt to ski all 230 resorts in a single year? So, less than $2 a day. That would be quite the feat and adventure

I assumed Bear Valley would end up on the pass. Loveland is a huge win. Innsbruck too, but their "clerical error" from July turned out ok.

Not even close, for 22-23 the individual with the most redemptions had “only” 51 days at 27 resorts:

If you eliminate the XC and cat skiing you're down to "only" about 180. With the one ticket per day rule and midweek closures, I suspect it might be impossible. Could be fun to try to come up with a plan though.

That's pretty good. Looks like last year I did 25 days at 23 Indy resorts but didn't use the Indy Pass for all of them. Would be nice if you could use day and night skiing on the same day, but I get that would mess up the $. Only have about 16-20 planned for this year so far.

Too bad, they’re a poster child for independent ski areas. Hard to believe they don’t want the extra traffic.
Isn't it like 45 bucks midweek with another season pass? Am I imagining this? I planned on doing a couple days there next winter

Not sure but I went midweek a couple days two seasons ago. I had my Indy pass for the partner discount, but they were selling tix for virtually the same as the discounted price, which was about $37.

I said "will attempt", not "has attempted".

Never really noticed the one resort per day rule. That probably kills it.

I'm thinking of someone with this kind of mentality who set the daily record

"The most ski resorts skied in 24 hours is 23, and was achieved by Kyle Kelly (USA), in Harbor Springs, Michigan, USA, on 26 February 2022."
