.I don't like how snowboarders face sideways which makes for a huge blind spot
Snowboarders ruin groomed slopes and moguls, they look ridiculous trudging across flat terrain and sitting on their butts all the time, they are always out of control and running into skiers and they think they're much cooler than they really are.
One thing that seems cool about snowboarding is that I never hear snowboarders bitching about perfecting their stance, technique and all that crap... they just do it.
I love boarders and gapers and even the table moms who "reserve" whole tables for their entourage.
Wow... Not the best company to be lumped in with...
I'll like anyone who is "donating to the cause"

Don't get me wrong, there's some technique stuff that has been great for my skiing, I'm just saying the attitude seems more laid back for snowboarders.
I personally think it would probably be a blast to hit deep pow on a board... but most stuff I do and enjoy involves mountain travel... and snowboards just suck at that.

That's because advanced/expert skiing is way harder than advanced/expert snowboarding.
Yeah, its probably true for both and I probably just don't hang out enough with boarders to hear these talks. Not sure if I agree with that. Going up on singles, I heard plenty from riders about techniques on carving that board. And the same with gear, some prefer a softer versus a harder or longer versus shorter depending on conditions.
My take, some people like to take it to another level while others are happy with where they are.
But dunno... snowboarding just seems simpler once you have the basics. Eh, maybe one day I'll pick one up.
