I hate to bring it up after this streak of great snow but forecasts tell it all. Is the winter weather going to leave once and for all after this week. There is no way tell until we get there!

Doesn't much matter what the weather does, still a TON more skiing to be done this season. March is the best month, ski areas are open through April, and snow lasts right up until Summer.

I just about cracked up when I looked at the accuweather.com 15 day forecast for Waitsfield, VT. It says "Blizzard" on March 19th  . As if they have any clue what's going to happen 15 days from now!

Regardless of whether or not its true, I much prefer hearing that to.....75 degree temps and pouring rain on March 19th.

I am changing my tune. It is too cold out to go skiing any more. Winter is definitely over. I am packing up my gear and calling it a season. Only nine more months until winter returns! :D

Winter is NOT Over

As for skiing and riding, this weekend of March 9 / 10 / 11 should be some of the best snow conditions all year. It should be not to warm and not too cold Friday - Sunday.

This Friday March 9th is Potter Brothers Flex tickets at both Windham and Hunter. Belleayre has $15 skier appreciation day every Friday in March. Good time to check out Windham's new trails and not one but two high speed detachable quads.

Satruday is probably a good day to go over to Plattekill and check out there great snow conditions with NO CROWDS. Plattekill had awesome snow conditions last weekend.

Sunday March 11 is Potter Brothers Flex Tickets at Belleayre.

Tuxedo Ridge has free lift tickets with free rentals from now until the end of the season.

Get out there - Ski and Ride this Weekend

they got you to look, didn't they?
It's all about attracting viewers/readers.
Kills me to watch the TV weather in June, a nice sunny day in the 70s and they have to bring the weather via "Storm Central".

Well, if we perpetrate this myth, we can clear out the hills and have the places to ourselves, no?

Since we had April weather in January it is more than likely that we will have January weather in April.:???: . I think that winter weather will slowly fade away kicking and screaming along the way until at least mid-April.
