Windchill in southern part of state was up there last Monday... Thought about doing the 4-close session but after getting out to fill up the tank...we chose to bolt and head for a couple slices of pizza..lol. Warmer upstate...strange.

You are right. It certainly felt very cold yesterday. I think it must have been the humidity as the wind wasn't bad. Fat and happy was the run of the day yesterday I thought. It also gets skied very little and the snow stays nice. We are in serious need of some snow. Maybe a storm on Wed into thursday. Next time you come to Shawnee let me know. Would like to meet you and ski with you. We are there most weekends till they close and have a fun group to ski with!

I agree with Terry about the humidity. Makes a big difference summer or winter.

skied at crotched in the pm. thermometer said "22ish" - it felt much colder with a stiff wind on the upper third of mountain. kids and I all had cold hands and feet. Around 4 went over to the thermometer expecting it to read 10 degrees and it hadn't really budged downward much!

re: conditions..."Conditions: Some man made packed powder over bulletproof base" pretty much sums it up!
