usually on thanksgiving i am thinking about how this evening i will be prepping the skis and everything for a great day out tomorrow. While I love thanksgiving- its one of my favorite holidays- an am thankful for so much, its hard not to be sad about no skiing on Black Friday for the first time in a while.

I understand lift and lodging costs are brutal in Europe.
Well, someone fed you more than turkey for thanksgiving! ;)

Compare to Stowe and Killington, lift ticket in the Alps are more like a throw back to the 80's! Way better bargain than Black Friday in the mall!

Lodging is on par with Vermont. Though you can't jam 10 people into a condo like at Lifeline.

Consider how much most ski "packages" cost from travel agents or even ski clubs (which usually just negociate packages from travel agents), the profit margin of travel agents on ski packages to the Alps must be like the days before the internet. Interesting people never realize the Europeans are also on the 'net!!!

Not exactly a convinient destination for a long weekend though.
