they are now reporting two feet in 36 hours. you don't need base once it gets over two feet :D but since they were almost fully open last week and had the deepest natural snow base in new england, i suspect there is something under that snow. my hunch is the main trails will still be boilerplate after all the wind. the trees are where it will be at. if MRG does not open for the weekend, jay it will be for both sat and sun. i'll be extra careful in BPG ;)

I plan to be there on saturday, I will be with my son, but I plan on getting him a lesson and doing some runs in the glades, I can hardly wait to ski Everglade, my favorite run at Jay.

OK, let's take this question apart:

Part 1: Any idea where this pic may have been taken? (Nothing here implies inbounds)

Part2: Which glades are spread out like that? (Not saying that this is a glade area, but asking if any glade areas are spread out like this)

it was the real deal today fellas. can you say countless face shots? I made it for first chair on the red this morning, but it really got better throughout the day if you knew where to go. just when it looked like the snow is going to stop another heavy squall would come through. can't wait to get back at it tomarrow, you gotta love the jay dust.
winters over in the east?.........HA!!

It actually looks like canyon land or deliverance judging by the narrow ski line shooting up the hill behind the skier. I could be wrong though :)

Just in from my BC run this morning, a top 5 run of the year, deep fluffy stuff, didn't hit another single track. however, when returning to the tramside parking lot, I noticed that the lot looked like a weekend. there will be a ton of people at jay tomarrow and their probably won't be a whole lot of pow left on the main trails/glades, just to let you guys know. still its the place to be, the last two days have been real nice to me.

It's gonna be nuts there. Every skier and rider descending on Jay. Scary thought...at least it is mid March.
