"The Tram, Flyer, The Jet Triple, Bonaventure Quad, Queen's t-bar, and moving carpet are all on wind delay so everything off these lifts is on hold too. Please click through for the latest snow report"

What the heck, winds must have been real bad for the moving carpet to be on wind delay.

If that's the case, it must be REAL WINDY!!! Like weatherman at the scene of tropical storm windy.

Come to think of it, it would might be kinda fun rinding a moving carpet in those conditions

We are up here and the winds were awful today, hopefully the woods caught the little bit of powder they received today. They state 2 inches on the website but it is closer to 4 here at the condo.

More info to come tomorrow

The only thing I might go out on a limb and guess, is that they are concerned about the clientele who would be using that lift: never-evers and small children. You don't really want that demographic out trying to stand up in 50-60mph winds.

Jay's report said "Rough Day" yesterday and had conditions listed as: v, fg, icy

give em a break, that's plenty honest for me.

Jay's reporting has been very good this year. Snow measurements have generally been accurate within an inch or two if not spot on. I think one day this year they under estimated totals. Certainly seems significantly better than past years. Every year has gotten substantially better than the previous since I started skiing Jay.
